Jo Hatlevig is an artist, writer, and potter. Her work glorifies qualities of material and examines haptic experience in relation to ritual and habit. She is preoccupied with the construction of, and distinction between, public and private spaces. Her objects and written work are listening to gaps between beliefs, body, and what we call them. She completed her BFA in Ceramics and Minor in Writing from Maine College of Art in 2017. She lives and works in Richmond, Virginia.
